Today is the day. I've had a manicure, a pedicure, colored my hair, have done my research and chosen, ironed, and packed my clothes. NYC here I come, ready or not! Thank you for all the well wishes. I'm sure I'll have plenty to tell you when I get back!
I'm hitching a ride to Charlotte with a friend who also has a flight out today, just an hour or so after mine, on the same airline, so I'll have some company at the airport. And then Pilley will pick me up at Laguardia this afternoon. I can't believe it's really happening. I am very grateful for the opportunity and have my arms wide open to embrace it and take it all in.
